Today's Agenda:

• Research concerns/problems 
• using book sources...how to
• Start to form a thesis for your presentation
• prepare an outline of the presentation, due Friday at the beginning of class
• you may have "open spots" - this will be things you need to research
• the purpose of the outline is so we can see what guidance you may need in researching
• Library for research 
• Start reading Chapter 21 in Pageant.

There were several questions about the current federal government shutdown the other day. Many different media outlets such the Atlantic, slate.com, and upworthy.com as well as the more mainstream media outlets like abc.com have current articles about this topic.
